MARK MARTIN’S NO. 6 FORD FUSION TO APPEAR AT CO-OP SERVICES CREDIT UNION

SOUTHGATE -- Sixty lucky members of Co-op Services Credit Union will have the opportunity to sit in a NASCAR simulator on Friday as part of the seventh annual Cruisin’ Downriver festivities.

The NASCAR simulator along with the AAA NASCAR No. 6 Ford Fusion, driven by NASCAR legend Mark Martin, will be on display at the credit union’s Downriver branch, 16225 Fort Street.

Beginning June 12, members of Co-op Services Credit Union had the opportunity to register at any of the credit union’s branch offices to participate and experience the NASCAR simulator with all the bumps, speed and force of a real race car.

Friday, 60 member names were drawn at random for a chance to participate, along with 30 alternates.   Winners were to be notified by phone prior to the event.

“We are proud to partner with AAA and to be a bronze sponsor of the Cruisin’ Downriver event,” said Anthony Carnarvon, CEO of Co-op Services Credit Union and a Downriver resident. “We’re scheduling lots of fun, food and prizes for everyone.”

Anyone can take pictures with the AAA NASCAR No. 6 and enter drawings for exciting prizes, including two tickets and pit passes for the Aug. 20 race at the Michigan International Speedway.

“Cruisin’ Downriver is an exciting event for car buffs and the community alike,” added Carnarvon. “It’s a great way to showcase the strength and diversity of this region.”

Co-op Services Credit Union has approximately 44,000 members, maintaining branch offices in Dearborn, Livonia, Walled Lake, Westland and Downriver.  Members also have access to any of 23 Family Service Center shared branches located throughout Michigan.
